Because there were close to 16,572 voters to embrace the "Fundamental Freedoms Action Plan", (For the evidence, see the Secretary of State's website for the results by clicking here), we have some leverage to influence the top two candidates to incorporate the best measures of the Action Plan in their platform. Thenceforth, the next governor would be in a position to advocate some or all of the Action Plan's core freedoms before the State Legislature. The next Governor could also proclaim "executive orders" to facilitate the enactment of any "fundamental freedoms" bill. Click here to examine the proposed core fundamental freedoms. WHY THIS PLAN COULD WORK ?
Presently, the electoral gap between Mr Rossi (46,30 percent of the votes) and Mrs Grégoire (48,32 percent) is narrowing. Four years ago, Christine Grégoire won by less than 500 votes. Therefore, the Fundamental Freedoms Action Committee, whose legitimacy is based on over 16,600 voters, would have leverage to influence the next governor to better promote and protect the People's fundamental freedoms via a codification action plan.
